Ode to Autumn's Maker

When sunlight gilds the autumn leaves,
The glorious hues mine eyes receive,
And in the soul swell songs of praise,

For splendors God alone displays.

Welcome to my week, Company Girls. Though it's been far from perfect inside my home, God has put a song in my heart thanks to the emergence of the sunshine and beautiful weather. What has given you cause for praise this week?

I give praise to My Father for my family and my husband who is willing to help me when I need it!! And I praise the Lord for my children and their joy and giggles that come when they play in the crunchy leaves!!!

Thanks for the beautiful poem. Have a beautiful Autumn day!

The cold nights and glorious days - the reminder that winter is coming, but is needed to renew the earth. Much the same way we sometimes need to sit back and let God recharge us, so we can be more effective in ministry and Christlikeness.

What a perfect poem. Most of the leaves are gone here due to our recent wind storms. But in between the gusts of wind there are glimpses of sunshine and I find myself smiling and singing songs of praise to my Maker. :)

Thanks for stopping by for coffee today,
Melissa

I am praising God for many things, but I won't bore you by re-listing them since I know you read my bulleted lists already! ;) But thanks for re-reminding me to be thankful for the song God has put in my heart, even if I sometimes sing a little off key.
